February 12, 200718 yr I have a solution that I created in my Windows platform. If I create a runtime version can it be run on a Macintosh? If not, can a macintosh run my files?
February 12, 200718 yr You will have to bind a seperate runtime version for each platform, but you can use the same FM source files.
February 12, 200718 yr Just to clear up, to Bind the runtime for mac, you will need to get a mac and install a copy of fm advanced on it -- and create the runtime from there.
February 13, 200718 yr Author That makes sense. But....if FileMaker is loaded on the Mac, can they run my files without using a runtime version?
February 13, 200718 yr Yes. You can run the FM files on on both platforms without runtime. However, you may need to compensate part of your code for it. For example if you are using paths etc in any of your scripts/calcs they will be different on a mac vs a PC...
