I have a solution that I created in my Windows platform. If I create a runtime version can it be run on a Macintosh? If not, can a macintosh run my files?

You will have to bind a seperate runtime version for each platform, but you can use the same FM source files.

Just to clear up, to Bind the runtime for mac, you will need to get a mac and install a copy of fm advanced on it -- and create the runtime from there.

That makes sense. But....if FileMaker is loaded on the Mac, can they run my files without using a runtime version?

Yes. You can run the FM files on on both platforms without runtime. However, you may need to compensate part of your code for it.

For example if you are using paths etc in any of your scripts/calcs they will be different on a mac vs a PC...
