Exporting Field Names

Anyone know of a way to export data into a csv file, but include the corresponding field names in the first row?

From what I can tell so far, the only way to do this is to export to an Excel format. The problem is, the app that will eventually need to import what I export from FileMaker cannot handle Excel files and requires column names. I know it's easy enough to just open the exported Excel files in Excel and save as csv, but I'd prefer to go straight to csv from FileMaker if possible.

Isn't that exactly what the Merge format does?

I did not realize that. It looks like the "merge" export will fill my needs. Thanks!
