I have a filemaker file to import into a new solution in my solution I have a serial (ID) field for each record my import records dont so when i import my records dont have a serial (ID). Is there a way to import a file and all the records it imports it creats a serial number?

If you import the records, there will be a popup option asking if you want to perform an auto-enter options. If you check it, then the serial number will update as the import is done.

What I failed to mention is, it is a automatic import step with a import table and referring to its own file, for users not to get confused.

Just making sure I got my question right. When I use a import table with a script like this the "auto enter" option wont show or am I doing something wrong?

the "auto enter" option shows when you set the script step: Import Records [ ]... and never again.

But you have to have a field with auto-enter option checked
