timestamp less seconds

i have a timestamp field....i want it to display as a timestamp...can i take off the seconds with out having to do a bunch of background work and extra calc fields to extract and then put back together??

Select the field while in layout mode and then Format > Time. Format as hhmm.

UPDATE: Oh, you must also specify the date format otherwise a change in time format portion will not take effect.
