Time and billing issue in Filemaker Pro 5.5

Hi,fristends,

I have a Filemaker Pro 5.5 time and billing program,

now we have to enter Time-in,time-out,

worked-hours manually.Sometimes,people enteredd the wrong total worked-hours.

Is there any way to make it auto-calculated after

entering time-in and time-out time? And worked-hours can not be changed by common users?

Thanks a lot.

Have a great day!

Hi there and welcome to the forums.

Presuming that Time-in amd Time-out are two 'time' fields you can create a new field, type calculation, the calc being:timeout-timein and set the result to be 'time'

That should do it for you.

ps

You may have to rename your existing fields if they have the '-' character in the name

hi,

Now the time is ok.

It runs in this way;

Time-in time-out total hours $/hour total amount

9:00 AM 5:00 PM 8(auto) 15/hr doesn't show

The problem is it stops showing the total amoung as before.

Please help me again.

Have a great day!

Try checking the option 'do not store - calculate as necessary'

You will find this on the calculation screen
