HEy i'm fairly new to file maker but i thik i have picked it up fairly well, i have a portal on my screen and i have it linked to another page but i was just wondering if there was a way to make the table branch out eg

(Risk Control measure= RCM, H= Hazard)

Main Activity- H1- RCM1 for H1

___________________RCM2 for H1

___________________RCM3 for H1

_______________H2- RCM1 for H2

____________________RCM2 for H2

They all vary in size depending on the hazard... and each activity has different amount of Hazards....

I can get it to show main activity down the side of it all the way same with the hazards but i just need it to be displayed once... or else it looks to cramped...

Hope this makes sense...

Regarding your explanation, unfortunatley it doesn't make sense (at least not to me). You've explained what you want (and it probably makes sense to you) but try and read that if you weren't you.

i.e. (Hemisphere = HS, System = S, Galaxy = G)

HemisphereN - S1 - G1 for S1

G2 for S1

G3 for S1

S2 - G1 for S2

- G2 for S2

Make it fit...

Need a more detailed description.

Hey i have just started to use filemaker, i think i have got the hang of most of it the basic stuff anyway but i was wondering if there was a way to make like a tree...

I don't know how to explain it but maybe i can draw it or something....

You have an activity but there are many hazards related to the one activity, and many Risk control measures for those hazards...

Eg

Activity- Operation of Elevated working PLatform

The Hazards are- Mechanical failure

And The risk control measures Are- Regular Servicing, Maintain log book, and pre-operation checks...

But the we can have more Hazards- Roll over

And more risk control measures for the roll over hazard choose correct machine, check ground conditions, correct set up...

Yeah so i hope that makes sense....

I have set it up so there is a category say heights then a sub category Elevated Work Platform, which then links to the activity... but i just need a method or script that will only show the related activity once instead of having it every tim there is a hazard...

I hope that makes sense...
