auto insert data from one field into another

How can I insert data from one or more fields in a record into the the title of a database.

For instance, I have a calendar in Filemaker in which I would like to automatically enter the first and second fields of the first record (which are the month and date) into the text at the top of the page so that the text will display the start date of the calendar at the top of my document.

I've defined a database field named "start date." How do I set up a relationship to this field so that the value of the field "start date" changes automatically and is always equal to the value of the first and second fields ("month" and "date") of the database? If I need two separate fields such as "start month" and "start date" to correspond with the "month" and "date" fields that's OK.

What would the year be? Would it be the current year of the current date? Why do you have two fields for month and date? Something doesnt sound right here...

Also I would change your field names. month and date are both function names, so use something else.

GetAsText ( Date ( monthfield ; dayfield ; year ( Get ( CurrentDate ) ) )
