bcooney Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I've been having problems using Send Mail with Thunderbird on WinXP with FM Adv. 8.0v3. All carriage returns are stripped. If I use the GetasCSS() function, the email goes out properly formatted. However, Outlook, Mac Mail, Eudora all show the html codes, so this is not my answer. Does anyone know of a preference in Thunderbird or issues with TB that could fix this carriage return problem?
Genx Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 ... not really, but try embed your field into html tags i.e. "" & GetAsCSS(field) & "" (might help with the other clients) Might also want to play with the default content settings in thunderbird to make html emails default -- plain text is boring.
bcooney Posted March 28, 2007 Author Posted March 28, 2007 Well, I upgrade TB to version 1.5.0.10 (20070221) and my carriage returns are retained when I paste a text field that has carriage returns. So, it was a TB bug. Now, it works the same for Outlook, Outlook Express, Mail and Entourage.
