Hi All...

Firstly...I hope this is the right channel to post this tiny problem...if not...please advise me...:

I am a newbie using FM 8 pro adv.I have 1 pc & 1 laptop connected by networking. In define Account Prevelege (host) every tab has been set according including Account,Previleges & Extended Priveleges. On host side I had set to "ON" the networking sharing from edit>sharing menu.I also can see the file's name.On client side upon open remote,i still able to see the host TCP/IP address as well as the file name. The problem is when click open,it's failed to open the specific file & error message was "host capacity exceeded".

Both using window & wireless broadband connected.

I really appreciate someone could help me out with this problem.

Thanks you & Good Luck

Are the install code for both copiesof FileMaker Pro, the host and the guest, the same or are they different?

Hi...Thanks mr vodka & you're right it's related to my problem.

To OAM (old advace man)is that installed code is same as serial no which we have to put in during first installation? As i remember i used the same software on both machine.

Thanks you & good luck

Except for volume licenses, the license codes (install codes) must be unique for each client. That means buying a copy of FileMaker for each machine.
