I am familiar more with Microsoft Access and am having a difficult wrapping my brain around the the reporting process in FM. Are there any free online tutorials etc that can help with the over of the process? I need to create a report that counts how many records based on date fields and am having some difficulty. For instance how many new records by month/year as well as other dates in the db.

A "report" in FileMaker is basically just a list view used in a special way.

What you need to get your head around is summary fields and summary parts. Look up both those in the FileMaker help, and in these forums.

Once the penny has dropped it'll be easy peasy :)-)
