Hi there!

I'm really new in Filemaker and my problem, I hope, should be very easy to resolve :)

I have two multimedia fields where I put a MPG video in one and a VOB (dvd) video in the other. The fact is, when I double-clic on the MPG, it opens externally the player and everything is fine (it's Windows Media Player).

When I double-clic on the VOB file, nothing happends, but I've got a player for this (VLC player). The strange thing is, when I clic on the VOB on my desktop, it opens with VLC player.

Does anyone have the begining of a clue ?

VOB is not an inherent media type within FileMaker, whereas MPG is. I have not tested it but try using a Send Event on the file to see if that works. As long as you have that file type associated with the player application, then it should work.
