Go to a related students record

Featured Replies

Hello,

This is my first question here so I hope I can explain what I am attempting to do correctly. I hope I have posted in the proper area as well.

I keep a small database in FM8.5 of my students, of course some students my have a sibling in my class as well.

On my layout I have all the general information for a student as well as the name of a related student.

What I would like to be able to do is click a button of the related student and be taken to that student’s record.

I have tried to search the Forum but I am not sure that I executed my search correctly.

I sincerely appreciate any help or direction anyone could provide.

Hello and welcome to the forums.

I think that the reference in this thread could help you with your relationship.

Nesting List Function

Then you can use a portal to display the related siblings and use a simple Go to Related Record to display the related record. This is discussed HERE
