pop-up menu not working in browse mode

This is a goofy thing. Tried it in FM 7 and 8 with the same result.

Defined a field on a layout as a pop-up menu. Menu behaves correctly in find mode, but not in browse mode. Any ideas of what to check?

When you say not working, what does that mean? Have you checked Field Behavior and does the field allow entry in Browse mode?
