I'm getting an error when starting filemaker pro 6.0: Filemaker Pro.e.exe caused an error and I need to restart but i can't get passed this?

Wonder if it matters that the application file is called

Filemaker Pro.e.exe

instead of

Filemaker Pro.exe

If I look at the short cut info it doesn't have the e and if I go to the Program Files folder the application file doesn't have the e?

have you tried opening the Program File itself instead of the shortcut?

Yes same error.

Is this a new installation or has it suddenly just happened.

New install - do you have permissions to install (was the install completed correctly)

Suddenly happened - have you restarted the machine?

It suddenly happend and I have restarted the machine and uninstalled and reinstalled and still happening.
