Newbies workpix101 Posted May 31, 2007 Newbies Posted May 31, 2007 I am attempting to click the button "Start all Filemaker Server processes" by oppening the Server Admin program, clicking the "Server" menu followed by "local filemaker server administration". When the Start button is pressed it indicates that the server is running (or attempting to run) but after 5 seconds in stops. Has anyone seen this before ??...It seems that I have downloaded almost every available pdf from the Filemaker website and am still being driven insane !!
Vaughan Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Check the server error log thingy. When this happens to me it's usually a license conflict: another copy of FMS with the same license number is already running on the network.
IdealData Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 It also conflicts if a previous FMS is running on the same machine, regardless of the license number. Just upgraded?
Newbies drmac88 Posted June 9, 2007 Newbies Posted June 9, 2007 Hi, I had similar problems when running FMSA 7 under OSX. Upgrading from 10.2 to 10.3 at the time fixed it all up. This may be completely unrelated, but might help? What version of OSX are you on?
