elektra
Hi, I can't seem to get a calculated field (from another table) to show up in a portal. The other fields are working, and they are based on the same relationship. thanks
LiveOak
I take it by "table" you mean a related file? Make sure the field in the portal row is using the proper relationship and that the field is not overlapping the portal row boundry on the layout. -bd
elektra
Maybe I should be more specific here. I have a database for some courses. In a separate database, I have locations, because a course may be offered at many different locations. On top of all that, I have another database which tracks an actual EVENT--in other words, it assigns a particular class to a certain date and location. Now in my course db, i'm trying to create a portal that will show the different locations that a course is being offered. I've tried different methods in order to make this work, but either I get nothing at all in the portal, or I just get one location (though I've purposely manipulated the data so that more than one location should show). I'm trying to link my portal to my events database...maybe I should link it to the locations db instead?? i don't know...i'm so confused i'm ready to go back to access...
