Richard_N Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Am curious if anyone has used a POS printer with Filemaker. I have a bill of material application and I would like to print a small "part picking ticket" for our production department. The operator would enter a model number and a picking list would be printed. The list will have a maximum of 6 components so it will not be necessary to print onto a large piece of paper. Curious to know if anyone has experience with POS printers and if there are any special requirements for pages setup etc. It is my desire to use a printer that has an automatic cutoff feature. Presently I am considering a Citizen CD-S501AUBU-WH printer. Rich
Jalz Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Hi Rich, I have two for the shop module I created earlier this year. I bought the Epson IV Till receipt printer which is thermal based. Apart from the roll of paper being quite expensive compared to conventional paper, the printer is blindingly quick! No problems with FM 8.5 Jalz
Richard_N Posted June 15, 2007 Author Posted June 15, 2007 Thanks for the info. I am considering a CD-S500 from Citizen. Spoke with the software engineer at Citizen in California and he is indicating that the printer should work fine with the correct Windows driver.
