I need to be able to search a database through the web with the following restraints:

( (firstsearch OR secondsearch) AND ( thirdsearch OR fourthsearch) OR fifthsearch)

would command would I send to the FileMaker Pro database through the browser that would enable this to work

In spite of what FMI would have you believe from their examples and from the CDML Reference, you will not be able to use the logical operators for the purpose which you have stated. Simply put, that is because the lop's do not work as advertised. They are useful in If statments on format files but not as a find mechanism for the database files. Since FMI is a subsidiary of Apple Inc. I would suggest that you learn to "Think Different".
