Turborekker Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Having just installed FM8 Server Advanced, when I attempt to stop the FM Server service, it takes forever and eventually gives me an error saying it timed out while trying to stop it. I have no users connected to the server.
Turborekker Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 I managed to find a fix. You have to go into the regional and language options in the control panel and set the region to US (English) and apply this to the "Default user account" setting under the Advanced tab. Once you have done this the FM services can be stopped and started as normal. A strange solution but it works.
Genx Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I always seem to have this issue, i'll give your fix a try. Cheers.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I believe this is a known issue. See Tech Info 5616. Steven
Genx Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Really? I posted a couple of times and no one ever mentioned knowing anything about it.. Oh well.
Turborekker Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Yes it seems to be quite prevalent. I was on the filemaker.com website and that is where I found the fix. Have you had any luck with it yet?
Genx Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Lol, frankly I don't want American time settings on my server, but yeh, it works... How weird though.
