Can anyone point me to information about using a portal as the user interface? I am doing contract work for a consultant and he likes to have one table as the user interface. The only fields in the table are foreign keys and a primary key. All other data is displayed through a portal to a layout from that one table.

I would like to know more about this method. Can anyone point me to articles or discussion threads?
