Is there any way of identifying the user that is causing a record to be open/locked?

It should tell you who it is when you try to modify the same record.

Blah blah is Modifying this record, please wait til they are finished. Or something to that effect.

Hey AudioFreak,

Thanks for the reply. I should've been much more specific.

I'd like to know who the record locker is when running a script to modify/delete record(s) with Error Capture set to On and error 301 comes up.
