FileMaker 6 crashes in the middle of printing job

Hi All,

We have a FileMaker server serving many databases to multiple users. One user wanted to print all invoices (around 233 sheets every month) from her usual kodak printer to HP LaserJet 4250 printer.

The user is running FileMaker Pro 6 on Windows XP Pro. Till now, she was able to print all the invoices to the kodak printer without any problem. Also, other users have been able to print the same set of invoices to the HP LaserJet 4250 printer without any problems. The driver installed for HP Laserjet 4250 is PLC6.

So I went ahead and changed the print settings in FileMaker Pro for these accounting files to HP Laserjet 4250 and also set the HP LasetJet printer to be the default printer for this particular user. Now when I print the invoice, very strangely the filemaker is crashing at 133rd record. When I again try to print, it is exactly crashing while trying to print the same record. The script loops all the accounts and prints them using one layout.

I dont understand what could be the problem when every other user is able to print all 233 invoices to this HP printer and also this user is able to print fine to kodak but has this problem with HP printer. Its so confusing.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem or has any ideas on how to fix it.

Thanks a lot.

Try changing to a postscript driver (or an updated PLC6 driver).

I updated the PCL6 driver. didn't help. I am still getting an error in the module name unidrv.dll. Does anyone have any idea of what could be the problem. this is just driving me nuts.

Thanks.
