Does anyone know of a plugin for Filemaker, so Filemaker can interact with the Metrologic reader. I know that if I have FM open, and the cursor in the correct field, the reader will put the number code in that field. What I need is have Filemaker get active when the reader reads a barcode, and put the number in the correct field. Please reply to my email: [email protected]

For what you want, I believe you need a serial scanner rather than a keyboard wedge (or HID) scanner.

Then you can use the Troi serial plug-in to manage the scans, bring the app to front, put in correct field, etc.
