Whenever I restart our server I am loosing all my custom settings. Has anyone else ever experienced this problem? How can I fix this?

The server is not retaining these settings:

- admin login password

- alternative path for database

- alternative path for backups

- allow ODBC and JDBC connections

- WPE indentifier and passcode

- all schedules, gone!

This sounds as if the server preferences have become corrupted. Probably the easiest thing to do is to remove the databases from their folders to another location and then delete FMS and do a complete reinstall.

Since you are using OS X, be sure to reboot each step along the way and repair permissions at the end. Also, be sure you get the preferences removed from the Library folder.

IIRC, there is an uninstaller on the Server 8 CD.
