Problems getting XSLT send_email to work on Windows 2003 Server

Featured Replies

:

I have an application that is running on a Windows 2003 Server with IIS set up to handle ftp and static web pages. The only thing about the application that doesn't work is the XSLT send_email. It works perfectly when run on a Mac, also running FMP Server 8 Advanced.

Even though we believe it to be an IIS problem (such as a setting),, we have looked and looked and cannot find what needs to be changed to get it to work.

Using the SendMail script in FMP directly works just fine, just not via the web. The error that we get is 10213 - SMTP Server error. However, the server is the same one that works on the Macs.

Has anyone run into this that can shed some light on this?;)?

This has been going on for weeks and even Filemaker folks are stumped!!

There is no authentication set up between the WPE and the email server. The mail server is basically an SMTP Relay Server and doesn't expect to receive emails, just send them.

This lack of authentication works just fine on a Mac, but not on IIS. Therefore, I'm thinking its some setting somewhere in IIS that is looking for an authentication that its not getting.

Hope this answers the question.
