Is there a way to change the setting for layouts "save record changes automatically" globally or do I have to change each layout seperately?

What is your goal? If you are looking to give the user a Save or Cancel button, it is better to take them to a layout populated with globals. Then from that layout you Save (script uses Set Field steps to put globals into the record) or Cancel (do not do setfields).
