I'm trying to create a script that will look at all of our records and omit any duplicates. I know that I need to loop through all of the records and look at the address field but I don't know how to set the omit to remove the duplicates.

Thanks for the replys. I've looked at the three links provided, 2 are for FMP 7 and the other is to delete records. I only want to omit a duplicate address. I work for an elementary school and we want to be able to send letters home but want to omit brother/sisters from the file and only send one letter to the home.

ok in the link I provided why not just change the script step Delete Record/Request [ No Dialog ] to Omit Record.
