Specified Number of Decimal Places

I'm trying to format my format page to only display 4 decimal places from a calculation field. Within FMP, I can format the fields to display only 4 decimal places but the formatting doesn't transfer to the web. I was wondering if anyone can help me out. Thanks in advance.

Try performing a simple math operation with your field on the display page, using 4 decimal places in your second term. Eg: add 0.0000 to your field value.

FYI Maria Langer, in her book "Database Publishing With FileMaker Pro On The Web", offers a formatting solution (p. 317) to the decimal problem. However one should be aware that there is a (very minor) flaw in her solution as publsihed, which one should recognize as one examines the solution.
