hartmut Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I accidentally installed safari three beta on a mac. It has made my filemaker work erratically and crash and damage files. Does anyone know how to uninstall it and get the older version back (2)without losing cookies or bookmarks? Thanks
Fenton Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 (edited) Doing a quick Google search, I found this: "Fortunately, Apple included an uninstaller with the Safari 3 beta, which brought back the Safari 2.0.4 code." So, maybe all you've got to do is look for this. Don't know exactly where; an option in the Installer itself? I didn't install it myself. As far as Cookies and Bookmarks, look in your home folder, Library, Safari folder for Bookmarks.plist. I cannot imagine that Apple would mess with this file, but it doesn't hurt to save a zipped copy. The Cookies are in your Library, Cookies folder, Cookies.plist Edited August 13, 2007 by Guest
