Would also like exports to Excel to include field labels and turn them into column headings.

Exports as a merge file, .mer, and save it as a comma separated value file, .csv.

You appear to be on FM7 -- have you heard about the direct export to Excel feature introduced in 8.0?

Creating a Word doc is not so simple, but have a look at ""FileMaker to Word 2003" on this page:

I haven't done it with XML, but before FileMaker supported XML I created Word docs by constructing the RTF with scripts. Works fine, but figuring it out was a pain.
