I am curious if there is anyway possible to prevent a carriage return when in Browse Mode on a field.

Instead of going to the next field when they press enter, it enters a carriage return instead. So they must hit tab to go to the next field which is an issue.

Any ideas?

Quite right, Mark. Adjusting behavior controls of the fields while in layout mode will solve cooldjmac's immediate issue.

However it's worth to noting that it won't necessarily elimiate carriage returns in fields entirely, since users will still be able to paste them in. So validation or filtering may be required (in addition) if the presence of CRs will be a major problem. :wink2:
