Less than 2 months after our last release, we are pleased to announce another major upgrade to the MBS FileMaker Plugin. Version 1.4 of the MBS Plug-in was released today.

What's New!

1. PHP ---- Run PHP from inside FileMaker!

We have added the full power of PHP to the already powerful MBS plug-in. Here is just a brief list of some of the things you can do with the new PHP component.

* Send and receive email

* FTP upload and download files

* Use Web Services

* Use regular expressions

* Create, Delete files and folders

* Integrate with slqLite

* XML transformation

* Compress/Decompress Files

* Read Exif image data

* Encrypt and Decrypt data

And much much more!!!

We also added three extensions to PHP to make the integration between FileMaker and PHP even tighter.

*Run FileMaker Scripts from PHP

*Evaluate FileMaker expressions from PHP

*Execute SQL statements on FileMaker from PHP

2. New Web Viewer Functions. ---- Read and Write to Web Forms, Run JavaScript!

We also added some new functions to the wildly popular WebView component. We made it even easier to read and write to web forms, by adding several functions to directly access Web Form elements. It is now a simple script step to set or get the value from Web Form fields and other elements such as:

* Radio Buttons

* Check Boxes

* Select Elements (menus and lists)

* Text Areas

* Inputs

* Buttons

The WebView component gets a few other improvements as well. It is now even easier to run Javascript on a Web View control.

3. This release brings the total number of functions to 118!

If you purchased the Complete MBS plug-in within the last year then all of these new features and functions are completely free. If you purchased any single component, then you can upgrade to the "complete" component set. If you haven't yet purchased the MBS plug-in, well you have to pay full price. But with over 118 of the most powerful functions known to FileMaker developers, its still a steal.

Remember the MBS Plug-in already includes functions the can do the following:

* Execute SQL on your FileMaker Tables

o Create Audit Logs

o Create, Drop, and Alter FileMaker tables and indexes.

o Update data in other tables on field edit.

* Control Window widgets, buttons, and transparancy.

* Trigger Scripts

* Execute VBScript on windows, and get extended Applescript support on Macintosh.

* Capture Screenshots to container fields

* Store are retrieve session variables

* Set and Get Web Form Values

MonkeyBreadSoftware (http://www.monkeybreadsoftware.de), maker of the popular MBS Plug-in for RealBasic and geist interactive (http://www.geistinteractive.com) have teamed up to bring the extensive MBS function library to FileMaker. The MBS RealBasic plug-in contains over 10000 functions, many of which would be useful to Filemaker.

The plug-in is available for FileMaker 7, 8, 8.5 and 9. It is available for Windows XP,Vista and as Universal Binary for Mac OS X. There is a Developer Tool available to help you get started quickly with documentation and Calculation builder. Demos are available on the website, along with license and purchasing information.
