Container fields in a many to many relation

I have a database with a many to many relationship between 2 tables tblMedia containing container fields and tblProducts.

Could I use portals to display media in tblMedia on a layout based on tblProducts TO? Does this work the same way as for text fields? Or Can portals display media fields?

you cannto base relations on media fields directly, but portals can display related media (relation based on pic ID or file name)
