the walker Posted January 16, 2002 Posted January 16, 2002 is there any way to do the add request in cdml similar to in filemaker itself so that my web users could search for say UK - Baths and then add a new request and search for germany - baths at the moment i just have a very simple form allowing them to make one request at a time which really limits what they can do on the online version
Garry Claridge Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 Yes, you can use the Logical Operator (-lop) with value "or". Check the "CDML Reference" database for an explanation. All the best. Garry
the walker Posted January 17, 2002 Author Posted January 17, 2002 ok but what if i wanted german baths and uk showers using that approach will surely return german baths and showers and uk baths and showers is there any way around that or can this not be done i CDML
Keith M. Davie Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 Looks like you have discovered a flaw in the logic of the logical operator. Yup, yup, yup. OK. So there may be another approach. And it may require some creative thinking. But you wouild be well advised to become familiar with the exact search code for web usage. Once understood it allows you many options. http://www.filemaker.com/support/index.html Search and read: Article Number: 104829, and Article Number: 105687 SIMPLIFY ...
