I have a line item table and an invoice table. When entering new entries into the line items portal located on the invoice layout performance seems to be slow, 6-7 seconds waiting. Any suggestions? there are about 12,000 line items and 2,000 invices.

There must be some summaryfields shown somewhere on the layout or chained dependencies for the calcfields ...further explanation is required. We need to get the various fields involved scrutinized ...is selfjoin working to establish a stocklevel?

Duplicate the layout and start deleting things from it and testing. Stop when the problem disappears.
