Oldsneekers Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 I am investigating how to design my printing page layout to mimic security paper (nothing seen on the printed page but "VOID" or other symbol when the page is copies). Under the magnifying glass security paper and background hash marks in one direction and "VOID" written with hash marks in another direction but the same gray as the background. To avoid lengthy experimentation: has anyone done this with the design tools and have suggestions on the which background style and shade etc to use? Thanks
Delta Tango Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 As far as I know, this is specially printed paper that does this. It is not something a regular printer can print.
Vaughan Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 "I am investigating how to design my printing page layout to mimic security paper" If it could be done with a consumer-grade printer, it wouldn't be very secure.
comment Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Well, you can MIMIC it by placing a calculation field on the layout, behind all other objects. The calculation can show either text or a picture, if the record has been marked as printed in original. I don't think the stuff with magnifying glass is going to hold up on a regular printer, though.
