I have read the Topic below mine, but Im not sure that it is what I need, and If it is Im not getting my mind to see their post working for me...so forgive me if this is on the same line as the Topic below this one...here is my question:

Good Afternoon,

I am working on a little db for our k9 unit here at work.

Here is what I would like to know if it is possible to do.

I have a main layout which has four buttons on it, “Building, Vehicle, Area, and Other”.

When clicked they take the officer to a layout (of a related table) so they can enter various information about the Building or Vehicle etc. that the K9 was used and how the dog was used etc.

The officer could theoretically use any combination of buttons…the search could start on a vehicle and lead to a building etc. (they want the layout to have the buttons for each)

So what I would like to know…

Is it possible to have a small (lets say) red square icon beside a button, and once data is entered into the related table the red square now shows a new small green icon so that you would know which button has been used and data entered.

Just guessing, I would need to use a global container, and past that I have no clue ;)

Thanks,

James

This is the file I found...it was not 100% what I needed, I had to do some tweaking to make it automatic, but it set me in the right direction and I finally came up with a solution that was 99% of what I was attempting.

I cant remember which post I found it on so I cant give credit to the proper person, Im still looking.

Hope this helps.

James
