Hi,

had an electrical shutdown and after reboot Databaseserver will not work !!!

event viewer show "Filemaker server quitting! Another copy of Filemaker Server is already running with this installation code".

And no...no other copies installed....

tried to reinstall 9.02 with no success.

I have serious downtown here ;)

Any Ideas?

OK, first close all the files if you can. You're probably going to needtoreplace them with their latest best backup anyway.

Second, see if you can stop the FMS service.

Reboot theserver from the normal command prompt or UI window.

Then try starting the FMS service.

Also,maybe get some sort of UPS?

UPS is on my mind as Well ;)

The server started to work ONLY after a complete FMS reinstall and the network cable disconnected for an hour...

Strange...but now its working...

maybe I only needed to disconnect the network...
