using built in and print without built in layout

Featured Replies

Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to print a layout from the buit in solution.

I mean, I have a form that I want to print out but without all the information that the built in solution have. I just want to print the form without the name of the file.... the menu and so... any idea?

Thanks.,

Unfortunately you cannot do what you want to accomplish using Instant Web Publishing. You will have to go with a CDML/Lasso solution.

I don't use IWP, but from what little I know about it it would seem to me that you must create the layout you want to be displayed.

Also, while Lasso is a useful tool in custom web publishing (see THE security thread) it is not necessary to a cdml solution.

Thank you for your repply, The thing is, am I able to display a layout exactly as it appear in the database using custom publishing?

I have an employee that just need to fill and print a form, and it is hard to spend one filemaker license just for that frown.gif

I want to be able to print a layout that is already done in the database just using my internet explorer, is that possible.

Any Idea?
