Totes Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 (edited) Hi, I tried a quick search and to be honest I dont even know how to phrase this for a search so I hope someone can answer. I was thinking about purchasing s9A for work and was wondering if I could still host my older 8.5 db's on it and access them with my old 8.5 clients. I got this off the FM site: Supports sharing amongst FileMaker Pro 7, 8, 8.5 and 9 clients I assume it will host the 8.5 db's ok but Im not 100% sure. Thanks, James Edited November 22, 2007 by Guest
Steven H. Blackwell Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 was wondering if I could still host my older 8.5 db's on it and access them with my old 8.5 clients. Yes you can. There has been no file format change. However, FMP9 new features obviouslywon't be available. I'd recommend you upgrade your client version as well. Check with your FMI Sales Rep to see what special packages for Server and Pro might be in effect. Steven
