Zero Tolerence Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Just curious if anyone has any experience setting up filemaker to read a Biometric Thumb print to give access to a file. I thought I remembered seeing a plug-in a while back, but I can't find it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Charles Delfs Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Hello Zero I have used fingerprint biometrics quite a bit with filemaker. I use it for user access and also for membership attedance tracking in a health club. I have written my own plugin to peform these tasks as I have found the available plugin was not satisfactory for my needs. If you are interested in this let me know and you can perhaps beta test my plugin. Contact me via email at [email protected] or here. Regards Charles Delfs

Regards Charles Delfs Hi, I looked into writing a biometric plugin a while ago and was unable to have much luck at finding an SDK which wasn't ridiciously priced. How did you find one or did you code it yourself from scratch?
youseful Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 We have built a complete solution using Verifinger that work with FileMaker. It vastly faster than the one from Productive computing. It uses proprietary algorithms. We are preparing for general release. If you want to be on the beta list please email us at [email protected]
