K1200 Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 I have a nice Close script that does housekeeping for my application and I have it prominently listed in the first entry of a custom menu set. But when the runtime is built, FileMaker slaps the "Exit (Ctrl+Q) entry right below it -- which, if the user selects instead, will bypass my nice script. I know this is probably some "Microsoft convention", but has anyone found a way to either 1) remove the Exit entry or 2) have it execute my script. Any help will be appreciated.
IdealData Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 You can set the file options to perform a specific script when closing the file.
K1200 Posted December 6, 2007 Author Posted December 6, 2007 Thanks, Ideal Data. That will solve the main problem, which is to make certain the housekeeping is done. I completely forgot about that alternative when I got involved in trying to remove their entry from the menu (which I would still like to find a way to do).
