Return key on keyboard doesn't work in Search Page

I'm not sure why whenever I submit a search page by hitting the return or enter keys on my keyboard it returns a search error. Whenever I hit the 'Submit Search' button at the bottom of the form by clicking with my mouse it works fine.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
