is there a way to open a specific filemaker file that we have identified in a variable?

say our variable $_file currently has JN_ABC.fp7 stored within it, how do we open this file, without actually using the 'Open File' script step?

is there a plugin that will achieve this for us?

i have looked into a few plugins, but no luck so far.

we are running a routine, that will call scripts within a series of files, these files are determined dynamically, and we're EventScript to call scripts within these files, BUT the files need to open for this to work.

ANY feedback would be much appreciated

I rarely use more than one file and when I do I just leave all the files open all the time. Am I missing something? In what circumstances do you open a file dynamically?
