Newbies RobH Posted December 14, 2007 Newbies Posted December 14, 2007 Hi, I've got a client who is considering the purchase of v.9. They have an immediate need to automate the process of scanning e-mail responses to an online survey. Is there a ready-made solution that could strip the email header info, & flow the subsequent content into the appropriate fields? The survey is being managed by an outside provider, so not a whole lot of control on that end... Please let me know if there's a more appropriate forum for this post...and thanks for your time in responding! RobH
Simon K Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 If you are using Outlook you could use Outlook Manipulator from Productive Computing Inc to get the e-mails to separate the body The next step would be to use standard FM calcs/script to parse the body - if there is no recognizable repeating structure to the body this may be very difficult to do. There is no standard off the shelf solution as each situation is different - but the FM text and calc functions are extremely powerful (as you probably know) You will also be vulnerable to changes in the delivered body.
