December 14, 200718 yr Newbies Hi, I've got a client who is considering the purchase of v.9. They have an immediate need to automate the process of scanning e-mail responses to an online survey. Is there a ready-made solution that could strip the email header info, & flow the subsequent content into the appropriate fields? The survey is being managed by an outside provider, so not a whole lot of control on that end... Please let me know if there's a more appropriate forum for this post...and thanks for your time in responding! RobH
December 15, 200718 yr If you are using Outlook you could use Outlook Manipulator from Productive Computing Inc to get the e-mails to separate the body The next step would be to use standard FM calcs/script to parse the body - if there is no recognizable repeating structure to the body this may be very difficult to do. There is no standard off the shelf solution as each situation is different - but the FM text and calc functions are extremely powerful (as you probably know) You will also be vulnerable to changes in the delivered body.
