wally buch Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I am trying to get a running count of the Values of a Field. For example, if I have a field named "Car", populated by text values A, B, and C, how do I get a summary field that will count the number of each Value, A, B, and C?
Søren Dyhr Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Intermediate Filemaker skills should encompass sub-summary reports in my humble opinion! Perhaps you need to brush up on it: --sd
wally buch Posted December 29, 2007 Author Posted December 29, 2007 This was immensely helpful, and I thank you for the tutorial. While the sorted fields display perfectly on the client side they do not display appropriately on the web version using IWP. There does not appear to be a preview mode on the browser version, only a list mode. Is there any way to get the sorted list with its subsummaries to display properly on the web version?. i am using safari 3 but perhaps another browser might do better?
Søren Dyhr Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 IWP? Where was it in the original post? Alright try this: http://www.kevinfrank.com/download/kf-fast-summary.zip --sd
