When people log in I would like a find to locate only those records that are produced by that user.

I have a field (hidden) in the database for putting the user name of the user when they create a new record but how to write a script to search and display only those records created by the user logging in and create a new record if they have no records ?

Obviously an admin user would need to find "All the records" and not be restricted....
