license notice when importing

Featured Replies

Hello all!

Have you seen this behavior? I'm running the only copy of FMP Advanced 9.03a, running hosted files under FMP Server on a Tiger server network.

When attempting to import scripts between files (already open on the net and hosted by FMPS) I get the following message:

[color:red]"The maximum number of licensed users are currently using this copy of FileMaker Pro. Please refer to ... documentation for further instructions...

License Key conflict occurred with user "Istanbul".

All files will be closed and the application will quit."

WTF? :) "Istanbul" is my laptop. How can I be in conflict with myself? LOL. A question for my therapist for sure but my FileMaker install should be fully at peace with itself.

I can't find any reference to this problem in the forums. Help appreciated!

Thanks.

leopard laptop - tiger server: sidebar won't report my correct system!

If you are wireless and lose connection to the file at anypoint it takes a few minutes for filemaker server to realise you are no longer connected and will give that error.

Hi Michael - thanks for the quick reply!

So you've seen that message after losing a network connection? Interesting. But I'm hard-wired on an ethernet - and never lost a connection so far as I know.

Are the rest of you importing scripts with icy and confident sangfroid on a daily basis? :)
