Server Admin Password Issues

A client can't remember his password for the Server Admin, but wants to upgrade to Leopard.

Is there a way to get the Server password? Or do we have to totally reinstall Server?

If we have to reinstall Server, how do we stop it first so that the hosted files aren't damaged?
