I have been running a backup schedule on Server 8 for over a year with no problems until now. All of a sudden it will not run any schedules old or new. I have even tried running manually, and the area under last run flashes "running" so quick you can hardly read it but never actually completes the schedule.

I have tried restarting the system, and stopping and restarting Filemaker Server. Neither worked.

Any Idea's. This handles my daily backup.

Any clues in the FMS event log? Maybe run a fix permissions on the system. Could be that FMS does not have write privileges anymore to the backup location?

Thanks! That helped. File logs showed that that the destination folder was not writable. Somehow FMS lost permission??? Not sure how but everything is good now!

No, more likely your Administrator did not set the permissions in the first place. Glad it's working now though.
